Hours before I sat down to watch Stuart Brown's talk on TED about play (must see), I had taken the Karate Guy off my desk and took some pictures. I had not had a chance to play with my new 50mm f/1.8 and have been itching to shoot something. What did I accomplish? Nothing, maybe. But I played and it felt good to just do it...with something that has been sitting on my desk for ages and never thought would make a photo subject. Maybe that's the lesson here: everything is the same until you find a way to see it differently.
Oh yes, love the 50mm!
