Oct. 9. Decided to walk from 40th Street and 5th (NYPL - Mid Manhattan Branch) to 57th and 8th (A train station). Just as I walked out of a Starbucks with an Americano in hand and a 'Song of The Day' card [Band of Horses - No One's Gonna Love You] it started to pour. I worried about my iPod getting wet. I worried the books I'd picked up at the library also might. Meanwhile I was drenched. Didn't care. Didn't want to buy an umbrella or stand at a dry corner. I had to walk, even if it makes me look miserable. It just felt right to walk. Had to stop at one point and take this shot with my camera phone.
Zakir Hussan and Charles Lloyd's 'Sangam' played the whole time. Mm mm.
